Howard County Transportation Programs
Transportation Demand Management (TDM) focuses on moving people efficiently, not just cars, and making better use of our roads. It promotes options like biking, walking, using buses or trains, traveling during off-peak hours, or even working from home. Go Howard is the TDM program for Howard County, Maryland, supported by the Maryland Department of Transportation and the Howard County Office of Transportation.

HoCo RapidRide is an innovative technology-enabled public transit service that allows riders within the service zone to book a low-cost ride through its app, HoCo RapidRide (available in the Apple Store or Google Play).

Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland (RTA) is a public transportation service providing fixed route and paratransit services within Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Northern Prince George’s County and the City of Laurel. RTA service is conveniently located in Central Maryland, giving riders the ability to connect to other transportation systems via Metrorail Stations. Zero Deaths MD is a highway safety campaign in Maryland, also known as Vision Zero Maryland, aiming to eliminate all motor vehicle-related fatalities and serious injuries by 2030. It's a statewide initiative focused on preventing crashes and reducing their severity through various strategies. The Maryland Highway Safety Office also provides graphics, videos, social media plans, and other highway safety resources for download.
