Howard County Community Organizations

ARI is a Center for Independent Living (CIL) located in Maryland’s Central Region, which serves people of all ages and disabilities within Anne Arundel and Howard Counties. ARI partners with individuals and organizations to advance the independence of people with disabilities so they enjoy self-directed and productive lives. Each service aims to help people with disabilities take part in and contribute to their communities.

ECFC connects costly adaptive equipment from children with disabilities who outgrow the equipment to other children who need it.

The Office of Disability Services strives to promote the self-sufficiency and well-being of people with disabilities through information, referral, advocacy and education. The goal of the Office is to serve as a critical link to a network of community services focused on ensuring that those living with disabilities who reside and/or work in Howard County have the supports they need to be successful.
