Join the Howard County Office of Human Rights and Equity (OHRE) on Wednesday, August 26 at 6:00 PM at the East Columbia 50+ Center for a FREE screening of The 19th Amendment – A Woman’s Right to Vote.
🎬 This powerful documentary explores the decades-long fight for women’s suffrage, highlighting key figures, historic milestones, and the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
Following the screening, attendees are invited to participate in a discussion exploring the connections between the abolitionist and suffrage movements, the intersection of race and gender in the history of women’s rights, and how this history continues to shape voting today.
