Description

The Governor's Commission on Suicide Prevention was created to strengthen and coordinate the state’s suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention services. Currently, there are four vacant seats: 1) American Indian Community 2) Police, Local Corrections, or Fire & Rescue Services 3) Young Adult aged 18-25 and 4) Substance-Abuse Recovery Community.

To apply for a seat on the Governor's Commission on Suicide Prevention: The application must be completed on a desktop or laptop, in one sitting. Applications must also include an up-to-date resume and an exemption disclosure form, also at the link below.

Next Meeting is Wednesday, March 15 from 1 to 3 p.m: ​The Governor’s Commission on Suicide Prevention meetings are held virtually every other month. The meetings are open to the public and are live-streamed from Maryland's Commission on Suicide Prevention's Facebook page​.
